Jim and I are working on our driver's courses - every 3 years you have to redo the 6-hour course in order to save money on your car insurance. It's kind of mind-numbing but worth it, I guess, so we were both plodding through on our separate computers today.
Down in the shop, Jim continues to work on sanding the pieces - he switched to a finer grit sandpaper.
Of course, today was the solar eclipse. We weren't in totality, but pretty close. This was our zip code forecast...
We used Jim's welding helmet to keep a periodic watch on it. Unfortunately, closer to the end it got a bit cloudy, but it was still fun to watch. What was really interesting was listening to the animal reactions - at 3:00 the crickets were chirping like it was the evening and we heard owls!
