Mom and I visited Jim in the shop this morning - he had cut one side of the desk top and was getting ready to cut the other side...

Running the completed desk top through the drum sander...

Then doing the hand sanding...

Using the router to put an edge on the top...

All complete and beautiful!  We'll have to get the stain but meanwhile, Jim will move onto the other parts of the desk.

Starting to work on side panels...

Using the jointer to straight some wood pieces...

Then gluing them together.  He will use this wood to make the inside panels for the side...
