Jim headed out to the electric supply company to pick up his conduit. Once he got home, he started plastering on the front wall of the stairwell.
When Jim stopped at our local Tubbs garage yesterday to see if we could get our cars inspected, they said 11:00 today. So we took the Mini and my car there only to be told that they couldn't do it until 2:00. So we headed back home. After lunch, we took them back again and got them both inspected. Now we just have to do the 4Runner and we'll be done with all that for another year!
In the afternoon, we headed back down to the rock wall to continue cleaning up a bit...
We worked down farther than we've been and probably past our property line but it was nice to get the mess cleaned up from where the big branch broke that brought down our power line earlier this year.
Looks fabulous now!
When we got all the tools cleaned up and put away, we loaded up the car with the trash and recycling for the week to be put out. We also brought down the metal detector - we are anxious to find the property corner pin again. But it got too dark to see anything so we'll try again when it's light.
We were treated with glorious sunsets while we were out!
As we were finishing up, the FedEx guy pulled up and delivered a box - when I opened it, I found an amazing chocolate birthday cake from a bakery in the Bronx sent by Cindy and Bryan in Ohio! It looks amazing - we'll be celebrating my birthday early tonight with CAKE! Thanks so much for such a special surprise!
