This morning, Jim took the Mini and headed out to pick up the conduit fixtures they had ordered for him at the electric supply company. He also stopped at the local garage to check with them about getting our cars inspected - NYS relaxed some of the rules on car inspections due to Covid but both our cars need it done. Hopefully this week sometime they can get us in. Jim also took all the gas cans and got both gas and diesel fuel for the machines.
Once he got home and changed, he started taping the front wall in the stairwell...
Taping is officially done in the stairwell!
Another gorgeous day so we headed outside - the area where Jim is putting rocks to build up the existing property line wall is looking great!
Then we loaded up lots of equipment in the bucket, attached the chipper and headed down to do some cleanup work at the end of the driveway...
Jim cut down two dead trees - giving this one the final push...
Meanwhile, I started attacking the front stone wall, trying to clear all the vines and undergrowth. Then Jim brought the trimmer over and we continued working down the front...
Starting to chip all the branches and vines...
I definitely should have taken a before picture but the after sure looks good!
Cleaning off the machines as the sun sets behind the mountain...
But Jim wasn't quite finished - with the lights on the Bobcat, he moved a couple more loads of rocks in the dark and consolidated the pile a bit.
