11.13.2020

I had to run errands this morning - dropped off our "donate" pile to the small local consignment store in town.  Felt good to get rid of all that!  Then I headed into Saratoga to do grocery errands.

When I got home, Jim had already put another coat of plaster on the front wall and then sanded all of the corners down to the main landing.  He was covered in white and had just gotten done vacuuming up all the dust.

Jim also had to deal with internet gremlins at lunch.  My computer was the only one that had internet service, even though Jim's computer and all the devices all go through the same router.  He finally rebooted the router and modem and things worked but Jim hates when he can't explain what happened!

Then in the afternoon, he devoted his time to working on the electric - he got his pull elbow in place and connected to the conduit in the box...

He had to disconnect this group of wires so that he could start feeding them through the conduit into the box...

But this was becoming an impossible task - there were 3 circuits to get through this conduit, including the big wire for the air compressor.  He worked for so long and just couldn't get all the wires through.  He tried getting his fish tape through and it wouldn't go - and then wouldn't come back out.  He finally got the fish tape out, modified it, and was finally able to get it through and after lots more wrestling was finally able to get this group of circuits through.  More work tomorrow but this hard part is done.

Now that I had cleared the donation pile away (most of it at least), Jim and I moved the pile of drywall out of the car bay and over to where he'll be working.  That freed up my bay and I was able to park my car inside for the first time since we were prepping for the last concrete pour.
