Have to start today's blog by wishing a very Happy Birthday to my wonderful, amazing husband! So to Jim - As anyone who has read this blog knows, you certainly don't look or act your "real" age. You continue to inspire me by getting up every day anxious to continue to work on this amazing structure you've built for us. Plus - you're just the best husband, friend and partner I could have ever hoped to go through life with - love you, dear!
Onto the day...the pantry cabinet doors are all done and are set aside in the shop bathroom to cure and be out of the way.
The other cabinet doors look amazing after being glued...
Jim's getting ready to glue the last one...
That door is now clamped and drying while Jim does some sanding...
A test fit just to make sure! Spice cabinet...
And the adjacent cabinet...
Jim did some millwork - putting the hinges on these two doors...
We enjoyed venturing out onto the property yesterday so mid-afternoon we headed out again. Jim first went over his chainsaw and then was able to cut down some of the bigger trees...
End-of-the-day pictures - look out clean everything looks!
Once we get these piles chipped up, it will look fabulous but look how much the little pine trees stand out now that they have some breathing room!
We celebrated Jim's birthday by watching a Star Trek movie and of course having some cake and ice cream!
