This is a holiday Jim celebrates every day! Did you celebrate with plain or crunchy? Grape or strawberry?
I ventured away from our safe, bubble world on Angel to do a little grocery shopping for those things you can't really stock up on - fresh fruit, veggies, milk. I got up very early and left the house at 5:30 in order to make it to the 6:00-7:00 time slot for seniors. There was already a socially-distant line of people waiting to get in when I got there! It's just a very different world - here on Angel, unless you listen to the news, you could almost forget that there is a crisis happening in the world. But when you have to get out into the real world, it's a different story. Suddenly, I'm surrounded with people wearing masks (and even a respirator!), gloves, distancing themselves, and sparse shelves. I was very happy to get back home. Stay safe everyone!
Jim was busy in the shop today, sanding (both with the palm sander and by hand) all of the cabinet door pieces in anticipation of painting them gray...
Then he was able to start painting. For the panels, he really just needs to paint the edges - the surface will get painted when the doors are assembled, which is why you see lighter spots in the middle.
So he got all the panels painted and the back side of the doors!
We also ventured into Corinth today, the little town where the apartment was. Jim needed to get more diesel fuel and I had a package to drop off at the post office. We noticed rainbows in windows - has anyone else seen these signs of hope for the coronavirus? Quarantine Rainbow Connection is officially a thing and it is here in our little town.

Jim is also starting to get wood sized and ready to make another room door!
