Jim worked on some more wood rack details today - like finishing up the cross braces.  He first has to score a horizontal cut in the end...

Then make the vertical cut on the metal bandsaw (this is what he was doing when the bearing broke)...

Now it's cut on both sides...

More cross brace pieces and parts...

This is how they will fit on the post ties...

Then he switched back over to painting.  In order to paint the backs of the post/base assemblies, he had to come up with a way to keep them stable - so he put a bolt in one of the holes on the base where the feet will go and hung them up by the trusses!

 Painting...

He painted the backs of both the post/base assemblies and also the ends of the support arms...

As well as the back side of the square washers...

We headed into Saratoga to grab a bite to eat - tomorrow is our 19th anniversary of our church wedding so we decided to celebrate a little early!
