This morning, Jim had to work on fixing the metal bandsaw - his new bearings came in yesterday. They were pressed in so were a bit of trouble getting them out and he replaced both bearings as well but now it's back in business.
Jim got the first post/base combination in good shape today - he attached the front clip angle and cleaned and grinder the welds on the connection...
The support arms are just here for effect but it's looking great!
Time to work on the next one, welding the tension plate onto the post...

Unfortunately, when the bearing went on the bandsaw, it damaged the blade as well. Jim had a replacement but it was a bit more aggressive than he wanted. He'll order a new one.
