3.13.2019

The day started with a new coffee mug - a Yeti - very appropriate since we live in Yeti country (and remember those Yeti prints recently!).  Hope this one lasts 25 years!

Jim took his Yeti and headed down to the metal shop to work on the wood rack.  Here he's using his die grinder (now connected to the new air compressor!) to de-burr all the edges of the support arms.

Then he had to do some not-so-fun cleaning work of all the pieces that he had taken up to the shop.  He used lacquer thinner to degrease each piece, going over it twice, and then using a scrub pad.

Clean pieces just waiting to be painted...

Cleaning the post/base pieces...

Jim had to look for some of his special paint equipment but he found it.  I had picked up some professional Rustoleum paint (in Storm Gray of course) the last time I was at Lowe's, so Jim got his sprayer together and started by painting his square washer pieces...

They look nice...

Time to move onto painting the post ties...

All done...

And support arms too...

Continuing to paint...

Two of the post/base assemblies have three sides done...

High 37/Low 27 (little snow this evening)
