7.8.2015

Jim worked this morning on framing details.  This picture doesn't show them real well, but he got the top track all the way across and then attached bracing to the top of each stud.  This will allow everything to be at the same level once the trusses are set into place.

He also put some of the bracing up that will go in between the trusses.  Those bearing plates that Bryan made and Jim painted orange are in between these two blocking units.  The trusses will sit on top of those.

During lunch, we went to pick up Jim's order of cold-formed steel so he can finish the window framing and replace some of the studs in the section where the concrete is too low.  We even picked up some auto bay roof rafters!  While we were there, we talked to them about getting a quote for the roofing too so Jim is going to email him the drawing file to get that started.

After we got back, Jim started working on the window frames.  I went down below and took apart some more shoring and cleaning up after the post removal.

At the end of the day, Jim got both front window framing sections all completed!
