Then it was back to work. Jim worked this morning on the last of the concrete fixes - replacing the studs in this corner section.
Redoing the corner piece....
As we were working, we were surprised to see our insurance agent coming up the driveway. He said he was just in the area and wanted to stop by and see how things were progressing. Only here would that happen! It was funny though...he got out of his car and walked up and the first thing he said to Jim was, "Wow...you really look jacked!" So Jim's muscles from working with all of this steel are certainly garnering attention lately!
Jim gave him a quick tour of the progress and he was very impressed. However, in talking to him, he said he knew a great concrete person - this guy does commercial work. He called Jim after leaving and making contact with this guy and said that he would have time at the end of the week to come and see the job and talk to Jim. So that's great news! Very timely visit and hopefully that will work out.
After lunch, we got started on more strapping. We actually have this down pretty well now - much better than the first experience.
Screwing in the top of the strapping to the corner...
Working on the opposite corner....
Getting rid of the temporary bracing in this corner - that's a good sign!
Attaching the gusset plate to the front corner....
Finishing touches on the bottom of this strapping. We only have one side left to go!
Jim ended up the day doing a little more work on the auto lift footer.
