Another gorgeous day - Jim got all the tools and equipment out and then we loaded up the first pieces of roofing!
Jim put up cleats to hold the sheathing in place...
Meanwhile, I did some marking...
After we got the first piece marked, Jim cut off the tongue since he won't need it on the bottom...
Lifting up the sheathing with the Bobcat...
Jim did some placement measurements...
And chalked a line...
Starting to move the sheathing onto the roof...
Putting the first piece into place...
And the next...
A few screws to hold the pieces in place...
Then he started nailing...
He put up a toe board on the bottom. Then he had to make sure everything was square before nailing...
Time for the next two pieces...
Doing some marking...
Bringing the sheathing up to the roof...
Setting it into place...
Yikes - don't try this at home!
Fastening the top into place...
Again making sure everything is square...
Putting up another toe board (whew)...
Continuing to nail...
Jim cut off the excess with the cordless saw...
Success!
Jim got the other piece of sheathing cut and then the first half put up into place. Looks so good!
