Happy Earth Day!  Jim and I feel grateful every day to wake up on our own little piece of the Earth with all its beauty surrounding us!

Plus, it was a gorgeous day outside.  Jim got things all set up and then we headed outside after lunch.  Jim started measuring for the next sheathing sections in the back...

Starting to cut...

Putting the sheathing up into place...

Starting to fasten...

Marking for the angle cut...

Putting the other side piece into place...

Going back and finishing nails...

He decided to try out his cordless saw to cut the angles - his other saw is very heavy to hold above your head on top of scaffolding.  It did a pretty good job - Jim is going to try and get a bigger battery for it.

A few acrobatics required to cut the excess off on this piece...

Cutting the angle off on the other side...

There was a screw that extended into the tail of the ridge board that Jim needed to remove before using his Japanese saw to cut it off.

Cutting the tail...

Cutting the top piece of sheathing...

Putting it up into place...

Fastening...

Putting up the last pieces...

Last big piece!

Jim went into the shop to cut the small angle pieces to finish off each corner, then brought up the rake boards...

Putting the little piece up...

Putting the first rake board in place...

Nailing it in place...

Next rake board going up...

A perfect fit - and the sheathing is all done back here!

Next, Jim went up to the front to put the screws into the steel framing.  First marking...

Then starting to put in the screws...

Screws finished in both the front and back.  Lots of progress today!
