4.20.2025

Hope everyone had a very blessed Easter!  Jim and I went to Mass at the little church we used to go to when we lived in the apartment while we were building.  It was a very nice service.  We came home and had our blueberry pancakes.

Yesterday, the weather wasn't great for outside with rain the afternoon, so Jim attended to some inside jobs, including replacing the casters on his wet/dry vac.  You can see how bad the wheels were - but when you consider that this vac is at least 45 years old, not bad!

But now with its fancy wheels, it's no problem to move it around the shop!

Today, Jim got all the tools and equipment up to the shed and then started putting up another section of scaffolding in the back...

Jim made some sample blocks to try underneath the rafters that he will attach and then be able to attach the soffit.  They should work great.

Jim first nailed the blocking piece down...

Then he put up the cleats to help hold the sheathing in place...

We loaded up a piece of sheathing...

Jim brought it around the back...

Grabbing it off the Bobcat...

Then lifting it up into place...

He put in a couple screws to hold it...

Then he did his chalk markings...

Nailing it in place...

Continuing to fasten...

That was a good start to the back to get the full piece up, but then it was time to get things put away so we could go visit Mom.  It was also the first day this year to get the MINI on the road!

We took Mom in a little raspberry cheesecake and had a good visit...
