Jim unclamped the door frames today and then did a trial fit inside the front cabinet frame...
Then he cut the panels and did the millwork on them...trying one out for size...
A coat of primer...
One of our Ohio neighbors gave Jim some thick oak planks years ago. Jim moved them with us and is going to use some of it to make a writing desk. We rearranged the living room when my mom moved in to give us more room, so his office desk went down into our pantry room and he has his computer on an old kid's desk now. He doesn't have the design totally finished but can start making the legs. There was a definite bow in the plank so he used his jointer and planer to straighten it.
He needs to cut smaller pieces and then glue them together to get the right dimensions he will need, so he's starting to do that...
More jointer work...
All the wood is now cut - gluing will be next...
Before hitting the treadmill, a coat of primer on the other side...
