To ward off any bad luck, we started our day by visiting Darling Donuts! They had an ice cream themed menu this week so we had to get minis and try a bunch of different flavors!
We headed to Home Depot for a bag of mortar mix and then headed east to go pick up our meter pedestal top from the stone quarry. Such a beautiful ride - check out the mountains...
We arrived at the stone quarry...
This guy loaded the top in the back of the 4Runner. Jim had put down runners in the back for the slab to sit on for protection.
It was time for a late lunch once we got home. Then Jim put a coat of primer on the plywood backing pieces he's cut...
Lots of pieces drying...
Jim did a lot of initial planing of the wood we got at the lumberyard...
He finished the afternoon doing some plastering in the metal shop...
