Of course, this is a national holiday in our household! Happy May Day!
I ran to Home Depot this morning to pick up contact cement and then did some grocery errands. Note - first time in the grocery store when I was allowed to push the cart - yay!
Jim cut the formica for the drawer bottoms and then rolled on the contact cement...
After time for it to set up, putting the formica on the bottom...
Rolling to get a good contact...
Once both drawer bottoms were finished, Jim clamped them together and put some heavy tubs on top just to make sure they dried flat...
He also put a coat of Rustoleum on the other side of the steel corners for the top drawer...
Jim welded an old C-clamp to a piece of steel angle to use as a clamp for sharpening his chain saw blades...
