1.3.2023

Jim was able to perform magic today - he wrangled an appointment to get my car inspected this morning at our regular spot!  It's extra magical because I'll be driving down near Albany tomorrow to take mom for a doctor appointment, so now I won't have to dodge any police cars!  All went well with the inspection and he even got an appointment for his 4Runner for Thursday.

In the shop, he had to very carefully drill holes to match up with the anchor bolts behind the wall so that he could attach the sink.  Since these are porcelain tiles and easily cracked, he had to use a diamond tip on his drill and go very, very slowly...

All done!  Each hole took about 20 minutes to drill through the tile.

Sink all back in place.  We are hoping to go and decide on grout color this week so he can finish this project up.

Of course, Jim always has projects waiting in the wings.  Time to put a coat of paint on the bathroom cabinet pieces he made.  He hadn't used his gun in awhile, so he had to get that and the painting area all set up first.  Starting...

Pieces drying...

More pieces drying...

A short time painting is followed up by a long time cleaning the gun!

High 34/Low 28.3 - light rain all day
