1.7.2023

The new treadmill was set to be delivered today - it came while mom and I were out on a post office run.  But when the guy opened the back of the truck, the box was badly damaged - the middle was crunched and the end open.  After our last experience with a box that looked much better than this one, Jim wasn't taking any chances and refused delivery.  Thus the treadmill saga continues.  In total, I spent about two hours on the phone with Amazon.  The driver canceled the delivery so I first called to see if they could just send an exchange - nope, they had to refund the money and we would have to reorder.  Of course, when Jim went to reorder, the same treadmill was now $200 more expensive.  We hope we eventually got them to refund the difference once the new one is delivered, but right now, Jim has three treadmill charges on his credit card and we don't have one!

In between all that distraction, Jim got lots done.  He set up the bandsaw to do re-sawing...

Re-sawing...

These are all the pieces that he got out of the one board that he picked up yesterday!

Then it was time to plane all those boards...

All planed...

After church, we did our annual Epiphany home blessing...
