We ended up getting about 10" of snow from the storm yesterday evening and this morning. It sure was pretty to look at!
This is the back hatch assembly piece - it holds the license plate, lights and latch. Jim had to tear apart the entire back door to get it apart! It's old and the seals and plastic pieces are broken, so Jim is looking into a replacement. They are hard to find and expensive, but he's going to contact the Japanese part company he has used for some parts for my car to see if they have it.
In the shop, Jim put a coat of primer on the drawer fronts...
Hand sanding all the drawer assemblies...
Putting on the next coat of polyurethane...
Then it was out to tackle the elements and clear the driveway. Unfortunately, Mom has a doctor appointment in the morning so Jim wanted to make sure we could get out. He had some issues with the driveway in the Bobcat - with the thick sleet we got a few days ago, there's a layer of ice underneath all the new wet snow. Once he was done clearing and got the Bobcat tucked away, he drove my car down and back up to see how it would be (best husband ever!). We will hopefully be okay in the morning!
