Jim painted the toe board gray this morning...

Test fitting all the pieces of the spice rack cabinet...

Trying it out on the end of the other cabinet - going to be fabulous!

Putting a coat of polyurethane on the spice rack pieces - this process will take awhile because there are quite a few pieces, multiple coats and drying time in between...

After lunch, we had to head out to take care of a few medical things.  Jim woke up on Monday with a very bloodshot eye.  His vision was fine and this has happened before so we just were keeping an eye on it (pun intended!).  It had looked like it was improving, but this morning, it was much more red seemed to cover more of the white of his eye.  Time to head to the eye doctor for a check to be sure it was okay.  Thankfully, it was.  The doctor said the drops he uses in that eye to keep pressure under control could possibly make it more susceptible to this happening.  While we were out, I got the first dose of the new shingles shot (Jim already has his series done).

Back home and changing back into work clothes, Jim decided to bring the cabinet up into the house...

But before he could attach it, he wanted to put the toe board on the other set of cabinets...

Moving the cabinet into place...

The two cabinets are clamped together and Jim is fastening them...

Using the blocking that Jim put in when building the walls, he was able to fasten the cabinet to the wall...

He even cleans up - the perfect husband!

This corner is really taking shape - looks so pretty!
