Jim worked on the spice cabinet this morning.  He dismantled it and then did some more final millwork, including these pocket screw holes...

We decided to put a rail on the bottom shelf in the front so that it would be part of the face frame and painted gray, so Jim made that and glued it on the shelf...

Jim made another piece of door frame molding - here the wood is just going through the molder...

The end product.  This piece of molding gets cut in half - one half will be used for a small piece against the wall of the second bedroom so it will get primed.  The other half will be used for window molding and it will get stained.

Jim got the wood that he had glued the other day all cut - by doing this, he gets zero waste.  Time for glueing some more wood...

We had hoped that the fix Jim did on the back of the auto bay last fall would prevent mice from getting into the auto bay attic.  They somehow squeeze into the area between the soffit and the brick - so Jim made a piece of custom flashing that he is going to attach to the soffit that will go over the top of the brick.  Darn varmints!

Jim got more polyurethane on the spice rack pieces...

Be still my heart - Jim brought out the next piece of Corian and is planning for the countertop that will go over these new cabinets.  So very excited about that!
