Mom had an appointment today at the nearby hospital - this sign greeted us. Haven't had to wear a mask in quite awhile - definitely haven't missed that! After her appointment, we did a pickup and ran into the grocery store. Jim had the driveway in good shape, so there was no problem getting up or down and the roads were dry.
Once we got home and Jim brought all the groceries upstairs, he headed out to Northern Hardwoods to pick up the wood he had ordered a couple of weeks ago. Once he got home, he shoveled off the patio outside the stairwell...
Then unloaded his wood...
Jim continues to be very happy with the quality of wood from this place - plus it's close by! He's going to use this wood to make more baseboard moldings.
Jim's had this pair of hearing protectors for probably 20 years and the pads were all cracked and a mess. He was able to order ones that fit perfectly!
In the metal shop, he worked on making the spar for the roof - grinding all the angles...
Trying it out - fits perfectly behind the side pieces...
He's got it tack welded in place - he'll finish welding it tomorrow and then it will move to the painting process...
