 Jim had computer work to do this morning and then headed into the shop to work on the last purlin...

Planing...

It fit perfectly, so that's the last purlin on the structure!

So that means the next step is the planing for the roof!  Putting up the first piece...

Continuing to put up planking...

Working across - he is squaring the top of each of these and attaching it to the top ridge.  At the end, he will cut them all at the bottom and the hips to the right dimensions.

End-of-the-day picture!  Looks amazing, although I loved the way the carved joints of the roof structure looked.  It will look super good from underneath now!

It was already getting dark when Jim stopped and he still had to clean up all this tools and equipment.  Plus, then he did a little final grass cutting of the season around the house area.  It was really dark when he got finished!
