Time to get ready for roofing! Jim was showing Mom the shingles and all the tools needed for this job, like the stainless steel nails in the gun and the shear...
Jim went up and did the preliminary markings for the roof to ensure everything is centered and straight...
Putting the first shingle in the starter row in place...
Then the first shingle in the first row...
Using the shear to cut the shingle...
Distressing the edge with the grinder...
No easy task carrying a bundle of shingles up the ladder - these are very heavy!
Continuing to work up the roof...
