Jim stained the pull out writing table for his desk today...
Like he did with the desk legs, he decided to cut tiny pieces of the backer rod to put in the dove tail joints on the back of the drawer fronts before putting a coat of polyurethane on them...
All the pieces are ready for polyurethane!
Everything's drying now...
Jim did some maintenance work in the auto bay - checking fluid levels in the cars, changing the oil in the power sprayer, putting the seat back in the 4Runner.
Next, Jim scraped and vacuumed these joints in the wood shop, taped both sides and inserted the backer rod (getting lots of use from that today!). He'll caulk these joints tomorrow.
Jim got a bag of bumpers that fit in the steel doors to dampen the sound when closing - inserting them...
Besides doing their job, they look good too!
All the bumpers are installed...
