Mom and I were gone for a good chunk of the day today - she had another visit with the hearing aid doctor and then we went and ran grocery errands.
Jim had his own errand to do this morning - he's been trying to get the Mini inspected but ran into the same issue with the garage not having the stickers. He finally got an appointment for this morning so he was able to get it all legal. Then he went and filled it up with gas so it will be ready to cruise!
He still got lots done in the shop today as well. It's amazing that he is able to glue and clamp all these thin pieces of oak together without it buckling. This is the bottom for the desk's center drawer...
Instead of using his rubber hammer to fit the pieces together, he used his press. It was a more elegant way to accomplish that task...
Looking beautiful!
He had to get a special small bit to cut in the groove for the steel bar so that the deep drawer can be used for his file folders...
More sanding work...
