Definitely some happy dancing around here. Jim worked so hard on his drawing and explanation package to the gas company about the destruction of our drop box. Probably an hour or so after he submitted it, he got a response from them saying a check would be in the mail. We are just thrilled that that part of this saga is done. We just weren't sure how everything would go. Now at least we will be compensated for all the equipment rental, time, and work that will go into the repairs.
This morning, Mom and I headed out. As we were leaving the driveway, a tree service was trimming trees along the front of the property. The guy said someone would be along in a bit to trim some branches near the power lines but they wouldn't cut any trees down. By the time we got home, all these branches were cleared away. They sure take care of things around here!
We headed to the tile store to return all our samples and order the tile we need for behind the stove. We had to return samples to Home Depot and Lowe's as well. We still have to find the perfect grout color but we have time for that.
Meanwhile, Jim was able to start preparing for the next section of tile, taking off receptacle covers...
