The bathroom shower faucet isn't really leaking, but Jim took it partially apart today to see if all's okay. He discovered that a gasket that keeps water from getting behind the cover had fallen out of place. He used some of our insulation spray adhesive to put it back in place. But then we gave everything a good clean and he started putting it back together.
Then he was back in the auto bay finishing up the oil change. Everything's back together...
Thankfully he has this funnel with a flexible hose so that he can put the oil in...
Then he took it outside and started giving it a good wash...
It's always amazing to me how high this can go - Jim has to put a safety bar in place just to keep it from tipping over in case of a cylinder fail. But this allows him to have more access to the cab...
The only way to really clean the windows are to dismantle it a bit - so for the first time, he took the side windows out. We'll get them all spiffy soon.
The engine compartment is all clean...
We have lots of good news to celebrate this week, so we are going to go to The Local for dinner. It's a big week in Saratoga, as the Belmont Stakes horse race is back in town, so things have been buzzing. Hopefully we'll still be able to grab a table!
