9.3.2019 - Siding is completely done!

Jim's first job this morning was to get some measurements for the attic access door in the master bedroom so he can start building that.  Once he got his measurements, he started prepping wood and then cut the pieces to size.

Once he was done making sawdust, he put the first coat of polyurethane on all of the inner frame pieces for the wood shop windows...

After lunch, he started putting on the last siding pieces underneath the windows...

Working on the other side...

Yikes - good thing Jim has that advanced ladder degree because this looks a bit precarious!

Putting up the very last piece of siding on the carriage house!  After all those individual pieces, it's done!

While Jim had the ladder in place, he went ahead and painted the shingles...

That finishing touch looks so good!

Once he was done cleaning up from painting and siding work, he switched his attention to making the bracket for the ends of the garage door track.  Here he's punching holes for attaching...

Jim had to cut a tiny notch in the pole in order to make the track fit...

Then he was able to start putting together the bracket...

Working in tight quarters...

First side all done!

Second side up - Jim got this side all in place and fastened as well!

High 72/Low 59 - beautiful.  Prayers to our friends and family in Florida and
the Carolinas in the path of Hurricane Dorian!
