12.1.2017

After spending time yesterday to go to the DMV to switch plates on the 4Runners, Jim went to the neighborhood garage to see if he could get the winter car inspected.  Thankfully - it passed!  That was not a sure thing so we are thankful that Jim will be able to drive that this winter without doing any immediate work to it.

So another kind of disjointed day for Jim, but he got back to insulation again, working in the stairwell getting fiberglass in.

Since he had finished the fiberglass in the auto bay yesterday, he put up another piece of drywall.

Then we spent a little time on the door bend issue - this time Jim tried bending the top part of the door in.  It seemed to work better and made more of a difference in the way it fits.  Now, whether Jim will be happy with it remains to be seen!

After that, we brought over the piece of drywall for the front corner.  This was the top piece on our drywall stack and already had a piece cut off that Jim & Kyle used for the little section of the auto bay ceiling.  So he wanted to get it cut to size and moved out of the way.

Then we cut the small piece for the corner - the last piece on this side wall!

Jim's fastening it down - you can see how amazing it looks to have this wall all done.

Kind of took some advanced ladder placement to reach the top of the piece...

We then moved upstairs - Jim resumed taping in the closet area.

Once all the regular joints were taped, he did the angled joints...

Last one at the top of the closet.  The second bedroom is now officially taped!

He then moved into the laundry room and started taping.  After I left, Jim continued doing more taping here and then went back into the kitchen to work on plastering some corners.  Pictures to come!
