2.10.2017

A bitter start to the morning - it was 0 degrees when I woke up without factoring in the wind chill.  But Jim braved the elements and headed out to the property.

Today he worked on finishing all the framing details in the laundry room.  He got the rest of the studs in the knee wall, then put the angle on top for the drywall as well as strapping on the sides all the way up the wall.  You can't see it real well in this picture, but he also got the rest of the studs to finish off the wall between the laundry room and the kitchen.

He put the angle piece on the top of the dormer wall where it hits the ceiling too.

Next Jim had to put up track on the side of the door, and then put the top wooden frame piece up.

Then the wood frame piece on the left side of the door.  There is going to be a barn door on this opening so it's a little different than the other doors.

Next up was working on making the wooden door frame for the master bedroom closet.  This is all the new wood that Jim picked up on his last trip to Lowe's, so it all needs to be ripped, straightened and cut to size before it gets attached.

Lots of great detail work done - rooms are starting to be finished with framing!
