12.22.2015

We had such a good work day yesterday that we were hoping to be able to get more done tomorrow while we had some muscle in town!  But, it was one of those rare, mostly rainy days.

Jim and Kyle headed to Lowe's to order plywood and take care of some business there.  They bought wood to use for planking on the auto bay roof scaffolding.  They got it all unloaded at the site.

Julia and I had way more fun - we stayed home and made Christmas cookies!  In the early evening, we relaxed a bit and had our gift exchange.

And of course, we had to continue our tradition of the Saratoga Springs Peppermint Pig.  It's a Victorian tradition - after the holiday dinner, the pig is passed around and each person gives a tap to the pig and shares a tale of the past year's good fortune.  We certainly have been blessed this year in so very many ways!

All smashed - it's a fun tradition to reflect on all our blessings over the past year.

We then headed down to the movie theater in downtown Saratoga Springs and watched the new Star Wars movie - it was amazing!  Afterwards, we walked around downtown and ate dinner before heading home.

High 49/Low 37 - rainy
