I went in to Saratoga today to do a grocery store pick up.  I miss picking out my own groceries but it certainly is a quick and efficient way to shop and more importantly it feels safe right now!

Jim was busy in the wood shop this morning.  He lightly sanded all the drawer cabinet pieces and then got ready to put a coat of polyurethane on.  Because the bottom panel will have a gray front, he had to carefully tape that section off...

He wanted to make sure no polyurethane particles in the air made their way onto the finished cabinets, so he covered them up...

Then he was ready to spray the polyurethane...

After a lot of cleaning of paint equipment, he transitioned to working in the metal shop on making the joists for underneath the steel table.  Cutting the steel that he had saved from form work...

Then he cut brackets and welded them onto the end...

Perfect!  He made these so that they fit tight to the steel table without fastening so he can move them as needed...

When I picked up Jim's Lowe's order last week, they had given him the wrong gauge wire.  So Jim cut work a bit short late in the afternoon and we headed there to exchange that and to pick up some MDF for Jim to make a new side table for his table saw.  Jim had them cut it in half so it would fit in the 4Runner...
