6.15.2015

The concrete contractor was supposed to call the concrete yard this morning and set things up for Wednesday.  However, he texted Jim this morning saying that Friday now looked better.  Jim called him and it turns out that he's in the middle of a poured wall job and really needs to get it done on Wednesday.  So they talked about Friday - and of course the pumper truck isn't available.  It's getting beyond ridiculous at this point.

Meanwhile, it had rained overnight and was drizzly this morning so it turned into mostly an errand day.  All this extra time and rain gives Jim pause about shoring so he had ordered 2 more shoring posts and we went to Albany to pick them up.

After lunch, he took the box truck went to the cold-formed steel place because his order was supposed to be in.  When he got there, it turned out that a couple pieces were damaged in transit and they had reordered.  But they told him that they were going to have a delivery truck out in the morning and they would deliver the pieces then.  They also told him he could keep the damaged pieces, which is nice.

So while he was out in the truck, he went to Lowe's and picked up more bags of mortar and the rest of the block that we will need.

Then back at the land, he spent time getting bases ready for the new shoring posts.
