11.8.2019

I'm not sure if it's actual happiness - maybe some mixed feelings in there.  Jim and I both love the coziness of winter, when you are forced inside and the nights come a little earlier.  But you always think that you need more warm weather to get outside things done.  However you look at it, we woke up to a dusting of snow this morning.  I went into Saratoga to run some errands and there wasn't a flake around - the mountains bring their own weather!

Jim did lots of molding work this morning.  He worked down on the drill press making the two-step holes for the jamb extension for the dormer window...

After making a lot of window frame moldings yesterday, he started staining today...

The millwork on the dormer jamb extension pieces is all finished and stained...

Lots and lots of staining today...

Lots of molding pieces drying!

Jim got a new router bit in the mail that he had ordered - this one to do the edges of the Corian.  We had this same design in Ohio and loved it - it's very unique.  It is a two-step process but sure looks great - very excited that he will be able to make this edging design!

At the end of the day, Jim continued cleaning and filling the cracks in the concrete floor of the metal shop with backer rod.  We picked up more caulk when we were out on Wednesday and he went through one tube already.

High 30/Low 17 - first dusting of snow!
