1.19.2019

As I write this, we're just at the beginning of the blizzard that's heading into town.  They are telling everyone to stay off the roads - even church was canceled.  We're right in the bullseye on the weather map for the biggest amount of accumulation.  This doesn't even talk about the winds and below zero temps headed our way...

A perfect inside working today as Jim started working on the dedicated high power wiring for the air compressor.  He had to design the path he wanted this line to take and then figure out how to do it.  He built more turn node boxes for our conduit matrix...

Installing....

Then he had to use the hammer drill to drill through the deck into the concrete to attach his brackets to hold up the conduit.  He obviously has to be careful about drilling into the floor because of the PEX - he has a line on his bit so he knows exactly where to stop drilling.

Bracket attached....

It's wonderful how all of this conduit just disappears in the deck - you have a hard time seeing it, especially in pictures!  But the conduit goes across bay 3....

Then into bay 2.  Then Jim had to figure out how to get the wire over into the first auto bay, so he used 45 degree angle pieces to make the turn and then installed an L-turn box...

He'll be able to take the wire through this space between the beam and the wall...perfect!  Once it goes into the auto bay, it would be better if there was drywall up so he'll do something a little more temporary until then.  But great progress!

High 14/Low 10 - start of weekend blizzard!
