1.18.2019

Jim worked again this morning on the auto bay electric.  He finished the 120V circuit and wired up the GFI receptacle and the rest of the receptacles.   He connected the circuit into the breaker box so these are all live now!

In addition, he mounted the receptacle boxes for the 240V circuit, strung the wire and got those receptacles wired up and spliced into the junction box.

He wanted to make sure all that was done because he wanted to plug in the electric block heater to use in the pole barn.  He draped the extension cord outside and placed it in a careful path where he wouldn't run over it buried under the snow.  Before the extreme cold hits, he'll plug in the heater and keep the Bobcat's engine warm so that it will hopefully start so Jim can plow us out.

In addition, he brought in the generator and filled it up with diesel so that it's ready to go.  If we lose power, he'll put the generator outside and connect it to the bullet heater so that we can keep some heat in the building.

We had an inch or so of snow today but the forecast looks very frightening for the weekend - there are blizzard warnings out for 1-2 feet of snow starting Saturday afternoon into Sunday afternoon along with those way below zero temps.

Everyone be safe and keep warm!
High 31/Low 9 - light snow
