Jim worked this morning on doing more insulation - like in these areas around the bedroom doors.  I'll clarify that - although he's using fiberglass insulation, it's not for thermal reasons since these are all interior walls.  This insulation is basically for a sound barrier.

Jim also spent quite awhile cleaning the joints of the laundry room floor - once I got there, I gave it a good wash.  I had to be in Saratoga this morning for an appointment so I picked up another bag of Thinset.

Back to drywall, Jim worked on the last 2 pieces in the main bathroom area.

Cutting out the door area...

We then went back to the hallway area - Jim first made and attached a piece of angle for the corner.

Then the final piece on the living room side of the hallway is up in place...

Attaching...

Wow - what a different look the living room has now!  No more walking through walls!

Next was the piece above the bedroom door...

And the next piece above the other bedroom door...

Jim had to turn off the power and take apart the light switch...

Then he put up the piece in between the bedrooms...

Receptacle all cut out and Jim is doing fastening...

Our stash of cut-off pieces comes in handy for some of these pieces - like the small piece next to the doorframe...

Using the Rotozip to cut out the door area...

Another small piece makes the transition into the kitchen wall area...

Maneuvering the next piece into place - this is the hallway leading to the kitchen...

Fastening it into place...

 Cutting out the receptacle box...

Putting the rest of the screws in...

Wow - things are really looking more finished - this is the view down the hallway from the door.

And the area leading into the bedrooms...

We continue to have beautiful weather here in Upstate New York.  But our thoughts are with all those that will be affected by Hurricane Irma this weekend.  We have family and friends in Florida and our prayers are with all of them!
