Jim worked on the floors this morning, doing the unglamorous job of scraping the Thinset out of all the joints.  When I got there, I gave them a good washing - they look so nice!  Laundry room...

Bathroom...

Then Jim started working on siding details - he made a piece of soffit for the back...

Notching the end out to fit tight...

Attaching it in place...

Unfortunately, when Jim went to put the last section of soffit on (it needed to be a solid piece), he couldn't fit it in with the first piece fastened down.  So he had to undo some of the screws and switch the joining piece on the back to the small section - then it all fit together perfectly!

Once the soffit was in place, Jim marked his board with both sides of the siding section.  That way he was able to get 6 rows all figured out and cut.

I primed the edges of the cut pieces - Jim will put a coat of gray paint on them in the morning and then they'll be ready to put up.

Switching tasks again, we had a little time to do a bit of drywall.  Jim is using the Rotozip to cut the box out of this piece...

With that piece installed, this side of the hallway is completely finished!

Jim got the rest of the soundproofing insulation in place and glued down this morning.  So we put up the first piece on this wall...

All done.  We got the next piece cut and marked but Jim needed to stop and switch tasks again - he wanted to grease the lawn mower and do a little grass cutting.

High 74/Low 46 - beautiful!
