Jim worked this morning on a few things...made more copper drip edge...

Then he went back up on the scaffolding to work on the end of this overhang.  Even though it's little, it still requires all the same steps that the bigger rakes do, so plywood, 2x8", then trim board.

Jim also took the last piece of trim board on the west wall up to make sure it fit.  He needed to take 1/8" off, so he brought it back down and trimmed it.  Then he primed and painted the ends as well as the trim board for the little overhang.

At this point in the day, it was early afternoon and the weather turned real iffy.  In fact, on my way to the land, it was raining at the apartment but Jim just had a few sprinkles.  Rain was forecast for the next couple hours (although it never really happened), so Jim took off after lunch and ran some needed errands.  He picked up another roll of copper, stopped at the electric supply place to pick up more grommets so that he can continue wiring, and went to the cold-formed steel company to order more pieces to use for the fascia backing.

Once he got back, time to put the trim board on the overhang and then the first piece of drip edge and flashing.

Then Jim put the last piece of trim board up - what a relief!

We're so happy that this west wall trim is all done - this was such a difficult task.  But everything came out perfectly!

Doing all the touch-up painting...

Once that project was done, Jim put the first piece of drip edge on the small main roof section.

Then it's time for the first shingle!

Progress...

It was pretty late by this time, so we cleaned up and then Jim spent a little time on the Bobcat working on the upper driveway.

It was much cooler today; in fact, I heard on the radio that there was a possibility of up to 2" of snow in the high peaks of the Adirondacks tonight!  No snow in our neck of the woods hopefully, but I think we'll be closing our windows tonight!
