6.7.2016

Jim spent the morning working on scaffolding again...he tore down the rest of the scaffolding on the left side of the back and built this tall tower.  He has a plank between the two towers.  This tower should allow him to work on both the small main section as well as reach the dormer roof too.

He also made another piece of drip edge and more step flashing.

After lunch, it was back outside on the planks putting up the 2x8" rake boards..

Putting up the last piece of the 2x8s...

Fastening it into place - from a ladder on top of scaffolding on top of a roof.  Ugh.

Getting the first piece of Miratek trim board predrilled...

And the cut ends  primed...

While the paint was drying, we moved outside to finish up some lawn work.  It rained a little overnight so the ground was easy to work with.  Jim did a little back dragging just to loosen the dirt that he put in this area last night.

We took turns spreading seed...

Jim raked it all in.  Hopefully we'll start seeing some baby grass growing soon!

The paint was dry so installation time...

The outside view.  Jim has the angle piece at the top fastened temporarily so that he can make sure the angle is correct and he can get a perfect measure of the last piece.  At the end of the day, he got that piece cut and primed - he'll put it up tomorrow.
