10.9.2015

Kyle and Julia arrived last night about midnight to help us move out of our barn storage area.  It was raining today it was a good day to get this done.  We headed to the barn in the morning and started loading up!

Kyle and Jim putting the treadmill base on the truck...

we wanted to make sure we got all the heavy tools out first...

Once the truck was full, we headed back to the site.  Jim had parked the 4Runner inside the carriage house for the first time - hopefully this will be its new winter home!

Unfortunately, because of the rain there was water in both levels.  We hoped that Kyle & Julia could see it all looking dry and beautiful, but they were still very impressed with all the changes since they had been here at the end of July!

We put runners under big tools to keep everything off the ground a little bit and put a lot of things in the auto bay area which was mostly dry.

Kyle knocked a lid off a plastic tub which just happened to contain Halloween costumes, so some reminiscing took place!  Hard to believe Kyle was ever little enough to wear this Star Trek outfit!

Once the truck was empty and we ate lunch, it was back to the barn for another trip.  Here they are moving one part of Jim's steel table - each piece weighs 250 pounds!

But...halleluiah - we got it all empty with just two truckloads!  A happy crew!

It's such a relief to Jim to have all of his tools and equipment out of the barn.  It was fortuitous that as we were loading up, the guy we have rented the barn from showed up so we were able to tell him we were all out.

We got everything unloaded back at the carriage house and then headed home for a well-deserved shower!

Julia has a birthday on Monday, so we celebrated early.

Happy Birthday, Julia!

Hope all of your wishes come true!
