Jim put up the primed ledger boards in the pantry room today...

Even though Mom and I insisted they looked perfect, Jim wasn't happy with the paint job on the drawer fronts after having issues with his paint gun.  So he sanded them down to redo at the end of the day...

When we had our septic system pumped out last year, they recommended cleaning the filter every year.  Ugh.  Today was the day.  The concrete cap was stuck in and Jim couldn't remove it by hand, so he brought out the Bobcat...

Lifting it up...

Reaching in and bringing up the filter - more ugh.

Hosing it off...

Then putting it back in place in the tank...

Lifting the concrete cap back into place...

Then putting on the top cap...  Whew - glad that job is done.  Poor Jim has to do it all but maintaining a healthy septic system is of the utmost importance!

It was a nice day so Jim decided to do a couple bucketsful of rocks on the side of the pole barn.  Mom got her first ride in the Bobcat bucket!

Scooping up some big rocks...

Having to do some muscle work...

After Jim brought the Bobcat down to the side of the pole barn, he dumped the rocks and used the excavator to pick them up...

And place them...

Really starting to take shape...

Doing some hand placing...  He brought up another bucketful and got the big ones placed - we'll do the smaller ones tomorrow.

He wanted to get in and repaint the drawer fronts.  Then, of course, he had another hour of clean up work to do.

They look beautiful!
