11.5.2021

Mom and I headed out this morning for some errands, not getting home until lunchtime.  Jim had been busy, of course, putting together the wood shop after the painting in the front areas is done.  He put receptacle covers on and moved the other cabinet over to the front wall.

He got the vacuum system all reconnected and attached to the jointer...

He had planned to go to the lumberyard today because he needs more wood, but when he called he was told that the wood was still in the kiln.  Hopefully early next week he can head there.  He continued gluing up more pieces for the drawers...

Planing wood for drawer parts...

Before Jim moves the storage cabinet against the front wall where its permanent spot will be, he wanted to fill the cracks in the concrete.  That first required him to clean out all the cracks of 4 years of sawdust!

Then he realized that he only had a small section of backer rod so he just filled in enough that he'll be able to move the cabinet in place.

Looks good!  He'll order more rod and caulk to finish the rest.

Cleaning out the vacuum with all the plaster dust...

High 45/Low 25 - frosty morning!
