11.14.2020

Jim put another coat of plaster on the front stairwell wall this morning.  This should be it and he'll be ready to skim coat this area...

Then it was back down to wrestle with wiring in the metal shop.  He got that circuit all through and into the box now...

Reducer on and planning out next step in the conduit run...

Working on the next circuit wiring - Jim has the wires organized from the box but he will have to pull them out of the conduit in order to glue the conduit run together leading to the box.  Tomorrow's job!

Our next project was to pull our 4 lengths of wire through the underground conduit out to the pole barn.  Jim set up a steel rod on the treadmill and attached the wire that he had measured and cut.

Jim had to mark the wires so that he would know which one was which when he started wiring things.  But then we had to bundle all the wires together every 5' of so to keep everything organized and compact so that we could pull it through the conduit.  I held one end...

Jim pulled the wires off the spools and then used electric tape to bundle them...

Attaching one end to the fish tape and taping it well to make sure it stayed connected...

We used our phones on speaker to talk to each other - Jim would pull a section through and then have to stop and wind the fish tape.  Inside, I had to guide the wire bundle down into the conduit.  The whole process went very smoothly.

Thanks to everyone who sent cards, gifts and messages for my birthday - I love and appreciate all of you (especially you, Jim!).  Thanks to Cindy and Bryan, I have a new "60" wardrobe and wine glass, modeled below!
