Today is the Feast of the Epiphany - the tradition end of Christmas.  I worked this weekend getting the Christmas things put away and the house cleaned up.  It's never as much fun taking it down as putting it up!

We also marked our door into the house with the Epiphany Home Blessing...

Jim worked on more cabinet details - using the router to hand mill out sections of the frame for the bottom shelf to fit inside...

Putting contact cement on the Formica that will go on the bottom shelf...

Formica on and setting up...

Jim sanded the face frames and put a coat of primer on them...

The next cabinet he is going to build is a spice rack that will attach to the end of this row of cabinets that he's working on.  We measured my spices to figure out the optimum shelf placement.  We did this in Ohio and it was so wonderful - I'm excited about this cabinet!  Jim just started getting some wood ready; he still needs to do some final computer drawings.

Putting a rabbet cut on the pieces...

Figuring out how the face frame will work with this cabinet...

The end of the day found Jim putting another coat of polyurethane on the cabinet pieces...
