11.21.2017

This was another kind of mixed up day.  Jim and I started the day at the dentist office with our scheduled appointments.  So by the time Jim got out to the property, it was probably around 11:00.  He spent the rest of the morning working in the auto bay.  He got more ventilation holes drilled, baffles and insulation put in.  Then he worked on adding the angle to the top of the walls for use in attaching drywall.  You can see on the left side that he used a straight edge to figure out the exact placement of the drywall.  The walls are so thick which required compensation for wall placement.

The weather was really nice today so it allowed us to finish up the last garage door seal.  First, Jim had to attach the spacer on the side...

We used the laser tape to measure the exact size of the seal.  Jim then marked and predrilled the attachment holes.

Attaching the seal...

All done - the garage doors are all sealed and safe for the winter!

Up in the apartment, I got a chance to see the wall joints in the entryway that Jim finished after I left yesterday.

It was about 3:30 when we got started taping - Jim worked on the wall/ceiling joint in the hallway.

Going down the other side of the hallway...

Going around the corner...

We used up our first roll of 500' of tape!  Since Jim will be doing a lot of overhead work, he put a 250' roll in next.

Last  joint in the hallway!

Starting in the corner of the kitchen!

A little before 5:00, we had to stop and clean up.  Then we headed into Saratoga Springs - Jim had to get x-rays taken in advance of a checkup with the kidney stone doctor next week.  After that, we went to Lowe's to get a couple switches and look at a few things.  We ended the night with dinner at Applebee's - a late birthday celebration and toasting of all our accomplishments!
