6.14.2017

Jim called the plumbing supply company that he ordered the union from - they are shipping him a new one because this one is leaking, which it's not supposed to do.  So he spent time this morning putting tape on a few other joints (he's now paranoid!) and cleaning up the union in anticipation of sending it back once the new one comes.

He then switched to doing some sheathing!  So exciting to see the overhang come to life.

He also made the corner boards for the side of the stairwell.  These are complicated to make because Jim mills them out so that they sit perfectly on top of the ledger boards.  He got them primed - tomorrow he'll paint and them put them together so we can get it installed.

Making more flashing...

Installing the flashing next to the door trim...

Time for the starter board...

Then the first piece of siding on this section!

Right now, Jim has to work from his knees but he said it's still 100% better than working over the roof!

End-of-the-day progress...
